Why is there a waiting period for funds deposited via SEPA Direct Debit?
When you make a deposit into your investment account using SEPA Direct Debit, you have the ability to request a refund to your bank within 8 weeks without providing any explanation. Your deposits made via SEPA Direct Debit are thus not guaranteed until these 8 weeks have passed. To ensure the integrity of investments made on the platform, we cannot allow users to withdraw these types of deposits within 8 weeks as there is a risk that the deposit itself is reversed shortly after. This would result in a negative balance on the user’s account.
